Training program on Advance Search & Rescue Techniques
Objective
- Build an understanding of the common hazards and risks within a structural collapse environment.
- Enable the first responder to acquire knowledge, skills and self-confidence which produce better results in the field during real operations.
- Assist participants to conduct a survey of the affected areas.
- Enable participants to perform basic life support measures by providing pre-hospital care.
- Link community-based response to organized local emergency services.
- Provide an understanding of regional, national and international rescue support systems.
A Four Day Training Program was organized by SDMC (IU) to educate experienced first responders who will expand their knowledge and skills with an overview of an organized approach to disaster response with the education provided primarily in the fields of rapid assessment, search and rescue, and pre hospital care during 08-11 August 2017.
